Google Pay, formerly Google Tez application, allows you to send money to and receive money from others over the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). When compared to traditional payment transfer methods such as NEFT and RTGS, UPI allows you to send and receive money directly from and to your bank account in real-time, similar to a text message.
Let’s go over how to set up Google Pay, add a bank account, and transfer or receive money over UPI.
How does Google Pay work?
The Google Pay service allows users to send and receive money; however, unlike other digital wallets, payments can be received directly into bank accounts. As a result, the issue of receiving money in wallets and subsequently transferring it to a bank account is no longer an issue.
To receive payments, a person does not need to be using the Google Pay app. Even though their website, Google Pay simplifies the procedure of money transfer.
In addition to facilitating simple money transfer transactions, the app allows users to pay in stores that accept UPI.
The user must perform the following actions:
1. Connect your bank account to Google Pay.
2. Configure the UPI pin.

How long does it take for Google Pay funds to be received?

Bank account payments can take up to 3–5 business days, and payment appears as a pending transaction during this time.
