What is Code Generator on Facebook?

Code Generator on Facebook is a built-in feature that protects your Facebook account(s) by preventing unauthorized login on a new device. The feature can work on all smartphones, even without an internet connection or text messaging (SMS) access.

The primary function of Code Generator, besides enhanced security, is to track the activity on devices you don’t use. The feature safeguards your account by allowing you to reset your password and log out from any other devices.

As the name implies, your phone generates and sends a unique security code to verify your login from a new device or browser. Turn on 2FA, and you’ll get a six-digit code that expires within 60 seconds, and you’ll need to enter the code as fast as possible.

Note: If Code Generator isn’t working, select the My code doesn’t work option to reset it on your mobile device.

Why Use Code Generator on Facebook

Social media has its pros and cons. Security concerns, privacy breaches, information loss, and data theft are only a few among the inexhaustible cons of internet use. Without multiple security measures in place, you risk losing crucial information on your Facebook account.

You can secure your account with Facebook Code Generator and enable 2FA in a couple of actionable steps. Facebook will ask for a confirmation code when you try to sign in to your account from a new location or device.

  2. I have the same problem as these folks with trying to get back on Facebook. My account was hacked. I have it back but can’t get on it without a code and the uploading of documents stating who I am doesn’t work either. How do I get back onto my Facebook page?
